How do I register for a fundraiser?
- Go to: https://islandelixirtea.ca/pages/fundraisers
- Click on Register a New Fundraiser.
- Scroll down and fill out the Campaign Info the best you can. We can finish the rest once we have contacted you.
- Once you have submitted your information, please allow 48 hours for your campaign to be processed and we will email you the next steps.

How much can my organization earn on a fundraiser?
Your organization will earn up to 40% of sales. How much your organization earns depends on how much your team can sell. Sell more, earn more!
Does the fundraiser have to be online?
The online format offers advantages in that we collect the payments and pack your tea by order. Of course you may choose to do the fundraiser manually but your organization will be responsible for printing the catalogs, collecting monies, and making sure that your order is error-free.
What is a Landing Page?
This is your Team Fundraising Page where your supporters can purchase from our curated selection of teas and accessories. The landing page shows how much your organization has raised (if you want that information to be publicly visible) and provides organizational information like who you are and why you're raising funds. It also shows how much time is left for your fundraiser.
How do I send out our campaign information?
Once fully registered, share your landing page with your participants. The landing page has links to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Email and WhatsApp that your participants can share with their friend and family.
What is the dashboard page?
This is a page for the organizer of the fundraiser. It shows how much you have made, how many items have sold, and how much you have earned. The dashboard also allows organizers to (optionally) add participants to the fundraiser. This allows the organizer to keep track of who sold the most. The dashboard allows the organizer to download orders and download participants and the participants unique landing page.
Why would I add a participant to our fundraiser? Is it required?
It is not required to add participants. This function allows organizers to keep track of sales that participants have earned (think grades, classrooms, team members, etc.). This is also a way to have friendly competitions among your fundraising team, potentially boosting sales and earned profit.
How do I add a participant?
- Go to your organization's dashboard (provided to you when you registered and your page was activated).
- Click "Add Participant". In the pop-up window, enter the name of the participant (full names are recommended, especially if there are multiple people with the same first name). Add their email address (not mandatory).
- Once you have added all your participants, click "more actions" option and download the participants CSV file. This file will show the URL for each participant.
- Provide the unique URL for each participant. This will be their own personal landing page. All sales earned on this page will be tallied towards this participant.
When will my order be ready?
We blend, package and ship (or deliver, if you are local) your order within 10 business days of the closing date of your fundraiser.
Who pays for shipping?
Supporters who elect to have their tea sent straight to them will pay a flat shipping rate ($12) regardless of their order amount. This allows us to keep our generous 40% give back going. For the bulk order shipping to you, we will apply 5% of your sales after give back to your shipping costs. Residual shipping fees are deducted from your portion of the give back
Example: you sell $1000, we apply 5% of $600 ($30) to your bulk order shipping cost. If shipping is $35 your give back amount is $400 - $5 =$395.
Where do you deliver? Is there a fee?
We deliver from Sooke to Sidney. We will guarantee a date of delivery, but we will not guarantee a time. We do not charge for local delivery for fundraisers.
How do I know my tea is on its way?
When your order is packed and shipped, you will receive a tracking number or delivery confirmation email.
How does my fundraiser get paid?
Once the fundraiser has ended and you have received all your delicious teas and beautiful tea accessories, we will send an e-transfer to your organization. Payee information must be provided prior to your fundraising page being launched.
What should I expect when I get my tea?
We will pack your order according to order number and, if you have elected to do so, by participant. You will receive a list of orders in your box. We recommend to create at least a 2 to 3 day buffer between your expected delivery date and pick up date to allow for inclement weather, shipping delays, etc.
How do I get my team to sell?
Send out regular reminders to your team with instructions of how to share the links to your landing page. Encourage them to email their friends, families and co-workers with the link. Each week, let them know how much they have sold, and how close you are to your fundraising goal. Encourage participants to share to facebook group pages and/or community pages. Online sales allows for anyone in Canada to purchase from your team so get those conversations going!
Are taxes charged on teas and accessories?
We follow all applicable provincial federal tax laws. Your supporters will pay any tax due at check out.
