Q: Is this tea best enjoyed hot or can it be prepared as a refreshing iced tea as well?
A:
As with most of our tea blends, Ingenuitea makes a lovely iced tea. I recommend to steep it in the traditional way (see our steeping instructions below or on the package) then pouring the tea over ice to cool it down and topping your glass or pitcher with additional ice to fill and chill.

Q: How prominent are the lemongrass and mint flavors, and do they add any particular qualities to the overall taste experience?
A:
This really does drink like a soft green tea with the lemongrass and mint flavours hanging out in the background. However, it depends a bit on your steeping times and temperatures. Hotter water tends to bring out the herbals a little more while lower temperatures the green tea character. Longer steep times punch up the green tea flavour but use caution - the longer the infusion, the more bitter taste you will get at the back of your palate. To find what you prefer, pour off a little tea at the shorter infusion time and taste then keep steeping until you find your happy place.

Pour 1 cup (250 ml) hot water (85 C - 95 C) over 1.5 tsp of tea. Let steep 3 to 5 minutes.
