White tea from Kenya is almost unheard of, which makes this family farm venture from the hills of Kiambu all the more extraordinary. Lightly mineral on the first infusion and nectar-sweet on the second and third, Kiambu Mist rewards the ones willing to take their time.

White tea is the least handled of all the teas. Carefully plucked and left to wither gently in the sun, or in soft shade when the day runs warm, then dried and packaged with care. That is the entire process. As close to the leaf straight off the plant as you can get without hopping on a plane.
Kenya is not known for white tea. Their legacy lives in bold black tea, grown for the tea bag and exported across the world. Which makes this one all the more surprising.
On a family farm nestled in the hills of Kiambu, someone made a brave and beautiful decision to try something different. The result is a tea I am genuinely proud to carry.
From the Hills of Kiambu
Kiambu sits in the highlands north of Nairobi, where cool temperatures, rich volcanic soil and highland mist create growing conditions that coax something quietly remarkable from the tea plant. This single-origin white tea is a rare expression of what Kenyan terroir can do when given the space and intention to explore beyond tradition.
Tasting Notes
Begin with the first infusion: lightly mineral, clean and lovely. Then wait for the second. This is where Kiambu Mist opens fully, releasing a nectar-kissed sweetness as quiet and enveloping as mist settling over the tea fields. Soft, languid and deeply unhurried. Steeping Recommendations
White teas appreciate a little cooler water but can handle hotter than green. Heat the water to 80 - 85 C (boil and let an open kettle sit 8-10 minutes).
Continental style: Pour 1 cup water over 1 large pinch tea (~2 g). Cover and wait 3 - 5 mins.
Gong Fu style: Pour 3/4 cup water over 2 pinches tea (~4 g). Cover and steep 30 seconds. Will provide beautiful flavour over 4 to 6 infusions.

Wrap labels are printed on Forest Stewardship Council certified paper and secured using non-toxic adhesives.
Tins are reusable (hand wash only) and curb-side recyclable in most municipalities.
