P.S.: Yes, according to the U.S. National Confectioners Association, marshmallow root was used in France in the 19th century to make, well, marshmallows. The sap was blended with egg whites, sugar, and cornstarch. Today, tea is where it's at IMHO ;)

Steeping instructions
Pour 1 cup (250 ml) hot water (95 C - 100 C) over 1 to 2 tsp of tisane. Let steep 5+ minutes.
