I enjoy trying new teas, especially ones that offer a unique experience. How would you describe the overall experience of drinking The Legends?

I love how the grassy sweetness of alfalfa and nettle harmonizes with the savoury tones in the aroma. The flavour is distinctly woody, with a soft sweetness that lingers on the tip of the tongue, evoking memories of prairie fields in summer, rich with grasses and wildflowers. Even when the tea itself is warm (I also like this one as an iced tea), the overall sensation is cooling, thanks to the dandelion root, rosemary, and sage. Overall, I feel nourished and replenished, as though I could live forever.

What inspired you to create The Legends?

I once watched a powerful video of a woman celebrating the strength and wisdom that comes with being over 40—a time when one truly becomes a Legend. Inspired by that message, I set out to create a tea that embodies this sense of empowerment and the timeless beauty of confidence.

The Legends is a carefully crafted blend that marries grounding herbs with the delicate beauty of osmanthus. In Chinese medicine, osmanthus is revered not only for its anti-aging properties but also for its enchanting legend of eternal life. The result is a tea with a light, floral undertone and an anchoring presence—a tea that honours the remarkable journey of becoming a Legend, celebrating the strength, resilience, and timeless spirit within us all.

What is osmanthus?

Osmanthus is a flowering evergreen tree of the olive family. Native to Eastern Asia, it has been cultivated for thousands of years and its flowers used in everything from wine to cakes to medicine to tea. The trees bloom only a few days every spring and are woven through Chinese folklore. The fragrance of these tiny yellow flowers is sweet and candy-like.

Pour 1 cup boiling water over 1.5 tsp tea. Cover. Wait 7+ mins. For a stronger, earthier result, steep 8 tsp in 1 litre water overnight. Drink throughout the next day.

All teas (except for storage tin option) come packaged in bags made from wood and are home compostable. Learn more.

Wrap labels are printed on Forest Stewardship Council certified paper and secured using non-toxic adhesives.

Tins are reusable (hand wash only) and curb-side recyclable in most municipalities.
