Nightcap
Nightcap
Sip on this lovely nighttime tisane as you wind down for the day, allowing the ritual of its preparation and soothing aroma to ease your mind and body into a state of relaxation. Our combination of calming and soothing flowers and grasses provides mildly sweet and delicate floral notes with a grassy undertone. Lemon balm and rose hips round out the blend to provide a touch of sweet citrus.

Q: How strong is the chamomile flavour?
A:
I find the chamomile to be a subtle pleasant background note in this tea. If you LOVE chamomile, you might find it a little light but I would promise that the beauty of the blend compensates for it. If you have a strong dislike for chamomile, or have a daisy family allergy you may want to consider TranquiliTEA as an alternative for your nighttime ritual.
Q: Will it put me to sleep?
A:
I hear you, modern life is full of things that keep our minds racing. The best feeling at the end of the day is a quick drifting off once our head hits the pillow. My grandmother calls it her 'sleep button' and you might be looking for some assistance if yours goes a little wonky. I believe, and science backs me up, that the ritual is a huge part of getting a good night's sleep and this tea makes such a beautiful ritual. Starting with the filling of the kettle, the scooping of the tea already with a lovely sweet grassy aroma of the dried leaves right through to the quiet sipping (you've put your screens away right?), that whole ritual signals the body: time for sleeping! It helps of course that the herbs in this blend are all selected for their history of calming properties and deliciousness. If you're interested in learning more, I recommend checking out the Naturopathic Herbalist - she has excellent resources explaining all the traditional uses of the herbs in Nightcap.
Q: I have celiac, is oatstraw gluten free?
A:
Although gluten is not present in the oat plant Avena sativa, there is possibility of cross-contamination during growing or processing. If you're are highly gluten intolerant or celiac and this poses a concern for you, know that you can always reach out for a custom blend that is oatstraw free!
