Lovely example of a classic sun-grown Japanese green tea. This Sencha is relplete with grassy, umami tastes - slightly vegetative and fruity, yet refreshing and clean. Perfect for take-out sushi night.
This tea is from the Kagoshima prefecture, one of the most prolific tea growing areas of Japan. The temperatures are warmer here, tending toward sub-tropical and the leaves grow faster and larger. The result is a fuller bodied green tea that retains classic Japanese tea essence and flavour balance. Due to scarcity of land, efficiency of production is critical in Japan and much of the tea is harvested mechanically. Therefore you may see some stem in this tea.

Pour 1 cup hot water (70 C - 80 C - boil water and let sit 5-7 minutes) over 1 to 1.5 tsp tea. Steep 1 to 3 minutes, tasting from the first minute and each subsequent minute to find your preferred cup.

Wrap labels are printed on Forest Stewardship Council certified paper and secured using non-toxic adhesives.
Tins are reusable (hand wash only) and curb-side recyclable in most municipalities.
